Spring Apple Blossoms

Cashew recently picked me this gorgeous apple blossom, and because I knew it would fade, I decided to experiment on my close-ups and had a little photo shoot.  These pictures are a few of the results.

Babies Everywhere!

This spring, our house has pretty much turned into a brief stopping place between trips to the barn.  I really mean it, too!
It also seems that whenever someone comes to our house, there is some animal excitement or crisis, making our family look much more exciting than it really is.  Oh well.  I guess they can think that if they want to!

We have. . . . (or had, at least)

An ADORABLE baby calf,

11 baby goats (inside with ailments and outside on the pasture, as you can see.)

15 baby chicks,
11 kittens,
and 5 lambs.

Since my mom has suddenly gone Craigslist happy, the numbers are now far reduced from what I have written, but still!  Shows you the scope of things, doesn't it?

Messing Around

Sorry if things suddenly start changing around all over the place on this blog.  I'm trying to give it a facelift.  Or just a change of appearance.  Whatever.  I'll start posting again when I'm done.  I promise.

Oh, to be in Carpinteria!

With all this freezing spring business, I'm having longing memories of a few weeks ago at the beach!

Once Upon a Time. . .

There was a girl who nevah evah evah posted on her blog.  So to fix her reputation, she decided to post a random picture because it was easy and required very little work.  Especially because it reminded her that her life was fulfilled because she'd ridden in a corvette.  She then lived happily ever after.

The End.

Pete

This is our new puppy, Pete.  He appeared unexpectedly last week in my brother's arms when he came home from the cow sale.  Hmm.  Go figure.
He is, admittedly, very cute though.  He is about six weeks old and is smaller than most of our cats.  He'll fall asleep on anyone, anywhere, and is a little bit of a whiner, but on the other hand, he's probably the fiestiest dog I've ever seen.  He holds his own against Jack in play matches with ease.  I think he's very smart and very adorable, and I'm finally beginning to get used to the idea of a two-dog.  Who knows if that's everyone's opinion, though.  :)
I think he's some kind of heeler cross.  Very exciting!
