Goodbye Old, Hello New

I am sorry to report the (cough, cough) untimely demise of our old rooster, Barney, due to being just a little too mean to someone. May he rest in peace.

Now to the fun part.  Last night - the awful night that Barney. . . well.  . . expired- my dad brought up a new rooster and a hen from Utah.
I'm proud to present Orville, the new king of the roost.

He and his little lady are not quite adjusted yet- they think it is WAY too cold, but I think they'll do well.

And here is the little lady.  Introducing Brunhilda, the lovely.  You wouldn't believe the difference in size between her and Orville.

Hope this one stays nice and doesn't have to accidentally give up the ghost either. . .

Surivivors Test

Okay- On Glenn Beck today they had a survivors test thing that you could take.  I'm a realist.  Here it is.

Giveaway?????

Okay, Sariah made me make SURE to do a post on this because I left one little itty bitty comment on her blog.  Don't be surprised if I delete this post- because I'm not that enthusiastic about this whole deal.  I'm supposed to make something handmade for the first five people who comment on this post.  Doesn't that sound wonderful???????
Yup.  It's absolutely ridiculous.  The only catch is that if you comment, you have to do this on your blog.  Pass on the pain kind of idea.  And I get to decide what I'm going to give you.  Wish me luck.  :( :( :(

Foam Swords

A few days ago, Chestnut, Pistachio, and Cashew created these foam swords out of PVC pipe, swimming noodles, and Duct Tape.  Ever since that, they've been dueling it out.

In this one, I put the camera on a really slow setting so that you can see the movement.  I thought it was pretty cool.

As a finishing though- I took this as a sword was flying through the air towards me.  I think it blends into it's surroundings quite well.  It just looks normal to have a sword sitting there in midair.

These are a few separate ones- but I think they're all absolutely gorgeous.

Two Paths Cross. . .

This morning we found the story of Cat V.S. Mouse written out in the snow.  You can't get it any clearer than that!  :)
